This 42-metre monument is often compared to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Arch of Constantine in Rome and is considered to be one of the most important places in India. Edwin Lutyens designed the building, which is located on the Rajpath. 

As one of the Delhi historical monuments, it was built in 1931 and is dedicated to the 82,000 men of Indian and British heritage who participated in World War One, as well as the 13,300 soldiers who were killed in the Third Anglo-Afghan War. Every year, a Republic Day Parade is held here. It is a popular site for both locals and tourists.
